With the exhibition Chairisma the Zuiderzee Museum presents work by Richard Hutten, currently one of the most successful Dutch designers. The presentation shows several generations of chairs that have been sources of inspiration for Richard Hutten. Specific attention is called to the story of the development of the Zuiderzee chair, which has been especially designed by Hutten for the Zuiderzee Museum. The exhibition runs from 2 April up to 9 September 2011.
Chairisma 전시회에서 Zuiderzee 뮤지엄은 현재 가장 성공적인 네덜란드 디자이너 중 하나인 Richard Hutten의 작품을 소개합니다. 전시품들은 Richard Hutten에게 영감의 원천이 되었던 몇 세대의 의자들을 보여줍니다. 특히 주목해야 할 것은 Zuiderzee 의자의 개발에 대한 이야기입니다. 이는 Zuiderzee 뮤지엄을 위해 Hutten이 특별히 디자인 해 온 것입니다. 본 전시는 2011년 4월 2일부터 9월 9일까지 열립니다.

In the exhibition rooms there are also chairs on display by Arne Jacobsen, Gerrit Rietveld and H.P. Berlage, amongst others. A combination of chairs, prototypes and sketches offers design lovers and art connoisseurs the opportunity to take a close look at Richard Hutten’s design process. The exhibition is part of the policy of the Zuiderzee Museum to commission contemporary designers every year who use traditional techniques.
전시실들에는 또한 Arne Jacobsen, Gerrit Rietveld와  H.P. Berlage가 전시한 의자들도 있습니다. 의자들의 조합, 그 원형들과 스케치들은 디자인을 사랑하는 이들과 예술품 감정가들에게 Richard Hutten의 디자인 과정들을 가까이서 볼 기회를 제공합니다. 본 전시는 전통 기술들을 사용하는 현대 디자이너들에게 매년 커미션을 제공하려는 Zuiderzee 뮤지엄 정책의 일환입니다.

About Richard Hutten
Richard Hutten (1967) graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1991. His examination design project was ‘Table Concept’ which won him international recognition. The concept consisted of several tables, basic in form and varying in size, which made it suitable for a variety of living functions. The concept was innovative and marked the beginning of Richard Hutten’s career.
Hutten is fascinated by the traditional methods of crafts and in many cases this leads to innovative techniques. One of these is that he does not design the chair, but the mould. The chair he sees as a derivative. Objects are frequently given several functions. He once designed a skippy ball, for example, which can be turned into a wall lamp in no time.
His objects are on permanent display in this country as well as abroad, e.g. in the Central Museum Utrecht, Stedelijk Museum for Modern Art in Amsterdam and the San Francisco Modern Art Museum. Richard Hutten is one of the major exponents of Droog Design, with which he has been involved since its beginning in 1993. Apart from the Zuiderzee Museum his work is on display in a large number of other museums.

그(1967년생)는 1991년 에인트호번 디자인 아카데미를 졸업했습니다. 그의 연구 디자인 프로젝트는 그에게 국제적인 인지를 안겼던 ‘테이블 컨셉’이었습니다. 그 컨셉은 형태는 기본적이고 크기를 다양하게 한 몇 개의 테이블로 구성하여 생활 기능의 다양성에 그것을 적용하는 것이었습니다. 그런 컨셉은 혁신적이었고 Richard Hutten의 커리의 시작을 기록하는 것이었습니다.
Hutten은 수공예의 전통적인 방법에 매료되었고 많은 경우 이는 혁신적인 기술들을 이끌게 됩니다. 이 중 하나는 그는 의자를 디자인 하는 것이 아니라 몰드(틀)을 디자인한다는 것입니다. 그는 의자를 새롭지 않은 것으로 봅니다. 사물들은 주로 몇 가지 기능들이 주어집니다. 예를 들어 그는 즉시 벽등으로 전환될 수 있는 skippy ball을 디자인한 적도 있습니다.
그의 작품들은 해외(the Central Museum Utrecht, Stedelijk Museum for Modern Art in Amsterdam, the San Francisco Modern Art Museum)뿐 아니라 네덜란드에도 영원히 전시됩니다. Richard Hutten은 Droog 디자인의 주요 주창자 중 한 명으로 1993년 시작부터 관여해왔습니다. Zuiderzee 뮤지엄과 별도로 그의 작업은 수많은 다른 뮤지엄에도 전시됩니다.
