한국디자인산업연구센터(kdri)는 2010 asia design journal의 원고를 공모합니다. asia design journal에서는 매년 아시아의 문화와 디자인에 관련된 문화, 사회, 문학, 공학, 경영, 인문, 디자인 등의 다학제적인 논문을 통하여 새로운 아시아의 컨셉을 창조해 내고자 합니다.

2010년 asia design journal(adj)의 주제는 ‘design for social innovation 사회 혁신을 위한 디자인’ 입니다. 21세기 디자인계의 미래적인 주요 화두인 동시에 오늘날 우리가 당면한 경제, 사회, 환경적 이슈를 해결하는데 있어서의 디자인 및 디자이너의 역할이 점차 중요시 되고 있습니다. 2010년 adj의 5번째 이슈에서는 산업, 경제와 밀접한 관계를 가져온 디자인에서 인간생활, 문화, 사회가치, 혁신과 창조의 개념으로 확산된 디자인 역할에 대하여 논의하고자 합니다. 또한 아시아의 문화와 디자인으로부터 새로이 발견할 수 있는 사회 혁신을 위한 디자인의 실체로는 어떤 것들이 있는지, 혹은 이런 디자인을 만들어 내기 위한 아시아의 고유한 방법이 있는지, 서양과 동양은 사회 혁신 디자인에 대한 인식을 어떻게 달리하고 있는지 등에 대하여 알아봅니다.

kdri는 비영리단체로 기고자들에게 원고료를 지급할 수 없음을 안타깝게 생각합니다. 그러나 kdri가 인정되는 대로 원고료지급방안을 마련할 것이며 이에 따른 불편함에 대하여 많은 양해를 부탁 드립니다.

a. 논문의 범위

asia design journal은 아래와 같은 분야의 글들을 환영합니다. 디자인 및 디자인과 관련된 인문/과학 등의 분야와의 연구로 디자인에 대한 다학제적이고 심도 깊은 논의를 진행할 예정입니다.

asia design journal 2010 주제:

          design for social innovation 사회 혁신을 위한 디자인

1.        디자인이론(역사, 담론, 원리와 방법, 정책 등)

2.        관련학문 연구(사회, 심리, 인류, 과학, 문화, 현상학적 배경 등)

3.        디자인사례(정책, 전략, 사례, 교육 등)

4.        인물(인물사례, 인터뷰, 대담 등)

b. 게재 프로세스

1.          접수: 2009년 10월 31일까지 full paper와 biography

2.          심사 및 개제 여부 통보: 2009년 12월 31일

3.          asia design journal 2010 출판: 2010 5월

c. 원고 형식

1.        언어: 외국인 원고 – 영문
          내국인 원고 – 영문+국문 (두 버전 같이 받습니다)

2.        분량: full paper (국문 2,000단어 이하, 영문 4,000단어 이하), biography (150단어 이하)

3.        포맷: microsoft word (.doc) file / adobe acrobat (.pdf) format

4.        이미지 및 도표/일러스트: call for paper 제출시에는 doc 혹은 pdf 파일에 포함시켜 보내주십시오. 그러나 call for paper에 선정되어 2010 asia design journal에 게재된다면, 같은 이미지를 300dpi 이상 (저자사진 포함) eps/tiff/jpg 포맷으로, 도표/일러스트는 디자인 수정 가능한 adobe illustrator ai/eps 포맷으로 저장하여 다시 보내주셔야 합니다.

korean design research institute (kdri) invites papers for asia design journal (adj) 2010. adj hopes to explore new asian concepts each year through papers on multi-interdisciplinary topics, including culture, social science, literature, engineering, management, liberal arts and design, which deal with asian culture and design.

the theme of adj in 2010 is ‘design for social innovation’. it is a critical subject in the design industry for the 21st century, and also emphasizes the function of design and designers capacity in solving economical, social, and environmental issues we face. adjs 5th issue of 2010 discusses the intimate relationship of design and economics and the expanded role of design to areas of human life, culture, social value, innovation and creativity. also we will examine the subject of design for social innovation from the asian culture, if there exists a unique method from asia to develop these designs, and how the perception of social innovating design differ from the west and east.

please be aware that the kdri is a non-profit organization and cannot provide payment for papers submitted. as kdri grows, a plan to provide remuneration will be established. until then, we appreciate your understanding for any inconvenience regarding this matter.

call for paper

a. the scope of papers

asia design journal welcomes papers written on the following subjects of design or related liberal arts/science areas. we will open in-depth discussions on design from the perspectives of these various educational subjects.

        1. practical design examples (policy, strategy, case studies, education, etc.)

        2. design theory (history, discourse, principle theory and method, policy, etc.)

        3. research on related studies (social science, psychology, anthropology,

                natural science, culture, phenomenological background, etc.)

4.              people (case studies, interviews, etc.)

b. publication process

1.              paper submission date: full paper and biography until, october 31 in 2009

2.              contact the authors regarding acceptance of the papers: december 31 in 20009

3.              publication: may in 2010

c. format of papers

1.            language: english only

2.            article length: full paper (4,000 words or less)

3.            author information: biography(150 words or less) and photo

4.            format: microsoft word (.doc) file / adobe acrobat (.pdf) format

5.            images when submission: include images in doc or pdf file.

images when ed: if your paper is ed for call for paper and published in adj 2010, images must be sent again for print quality. photo images must be 300dpi and higher in eps, tiff, or jpj format. graphs/illustrations must be saved in revisable adobe illustrator ai or eps format.
